I have been a professional counsellor and psychotherapist for many years, following completion of the Master of Social Science – Counselling Studies with Uni SA, I opened a private practice in the Adelaide Hills in 2010. Alongside this profession I have been employed in the field of Adult Education since 1997 working within the Community Services area. In 2009 my delivery of education focused on training others in the field of counselling. I have a background in youth work, particularly within the homelessness services in Adelaide, prior to this I have worked with children in Out of School Hours Care programs.
Further study in 2017-2020 has been in the specialist area of Clinical Hypno-psychotherapy, this is a rewarding area to work in, to see change in a client’s life in a short space of time.
I find it very rewarding working with so many diverse people on a daily basis, it is a personal and rewarding field. To become a professional requires training and experience alongside a strong sense of ethics and integrity.
As a professional I am a Provisional Clinical Member of the Guild of Australian Hypnotherapists (GoAH), a Member of the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (ICHP) and I am listed with the Peak Body for Hypnotherapists in Australia – Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA).
